If you ever enabled the share, the password gets saved for mounting
purposes.   If you change any parameter, you must re-enter the
password.

If the remote share is not found during boot, it gets
disabled....period.  That is the way it’s coded.  If you are using a
network share, make sure it’s always up.  If there is not a backup
battery on it.  PCP will almost certainly startup before the network
drive does.
