I tied without success: - bypassing my Netgear switch and connecting my PC directly to the LAN NIC of my Ubuntu router - setting MTU = 1518 on the Win 10 client - setting MTU = 1490 on the Win 10 client The following may help (?) the techies find the root cause: I then installed LMS on the Win 10 PC and streamed 2 mp3s locally from LMS (no network traffic, all local) => *no hangs* Next I pointed my Win 10 LMS to use the music library from my Ubuntu server and played he same mp3 (network traffic, but Win 10 LMS fetches the the mp3 from the server, rather than Ubuntu LMS pushing to the Win 10 client) => *no hangs* BTW, the issue is network related, but not network-performance related, as on a laptop it hangs if using ethernet and doesn't hang if using WiFi.
