FYI: For anyone else who has this problem. I fixed it using the suggestion here, https://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?111972-piCorePlayer-6-x-x-Bluetooth&p=979020&viewfull=1#post979020. Enabling the RPi WiFi (but setting wifi to off on the WiFi Settings tab) resolved the issue.
