I'm just not sure it's documented anywhere what controls.   But I would
not assume that the drivers in pCP7  (kernel 5.4) work.   RPi doesn't
test drivers, as they didn't write the originals, if they compile, RPi
leaves them alone.  It's really up to ApplePi to maintain the driver.

For example The Allo Piano driver was non-functional on kernel 5.4 for 6
months or so.  It never got patched until I was finishing pCP7  (I
patched the driver and submitted to RPi)
