Today I retrieved the SD-card and installed piCorePlayer 6.1.0 on it.
The player is back to working with the ApplePi DAC HAT board. I conclude
that something went amis during my in-situ upgrade to piCorePlayer
7.0.0

P.S. My old trouble with the yellow lightning bolt is not resovled. As
mentioned before, it might be the PSU that's not powerful enough
(anymore) or it might be bad contacts in the Raspberry Pi. At least,
while the device was disassembled I made sure that some contacts were
pulled and pushed (aka cleaned a bit) and that didn't do the trick. This
comment is not related to the subject.

Cheers,
Claus
