Unfortunately I don't think it will help, since that script does nothing if the DAC is present at boot (apart from making a temporary file that identifies the device). It only does something useful (stop or start squeezelite) when the DAC is disconnected or reconnected. bigq's problem seems to be that his DAC doesn't work if it's connected at boot, so the script won't help with that.
