Not really. Memory cards are designed for occasional writes, primarily
photos but the faster ones will handle video as well. Typically you can
(over)write to the same memory location probably about 1,000 times and
then that location will become locked. In a camera this means that the
card will effectively live forever, in a Pi running Raspbian about 6-8
months.
