Totally concur.
I have a Pi3 LMS that’s been running for at least 3 years.
I also use a Pi3 as a public DNS slave server. I did very recently
suffer a card corruption but that has been installed and running since
the Pi3 came out - maybe a month or two after it was released. 
Both of the above only get very occasional reboots. Neither is on my UPS
so have suffered power outages from time to time.
I only use branded SD cards
