Hi again I could never get on with fools and horses, I was more yes minister and last of the summer wine. Is it and age thing perhaps, I'm 76 My memory stick is due shortly, but in meantime I reorganised the power supply. Removed the splitter to two mini usb ports and connected rpi screen to two of the gp10 pins. Result, no lightning bolt and all stable Reattached the mini hard drive, Fujitsu, by the way, copied across the file path and bingo. All good, all albums there. I am using the usb out into quad vena, bit of fun getting that working but now fine.
I think it was Jim who asked about a strange file that had appeared on the drive @ea, I think it was. Apparently a history file, but with no content. I went back to the diskstation and deleted it, leaving just usbmusic. Strangely the mount has changed, normally appears in LMS as +mnt, now /media/usb0, as in screen shot. Once again many thanks, with your logical working through approach, I have managed to sort out the issues without immediate reach for google and random trials When the memory stick arrives, Sandisk 128GB, I will return to PCP. I do prefer their interface and they boast such an excellent helpful forum!!
