Thanks for the response IT DOES NOT WORK downloaded the patch and installed both in 9.1 and OSX 10.1 Extensions as instructed I reinstalled my ATI Rage orion video card & removed the VRAM boards Booted up into 9.1. All OK Then booted into OSX 10.1 . Got smilly face and beachball then KERNEL PANIC Was able to boot back into 9.1 OK with "the four fingered salute" This ends OSX for me. Enough is enough. I am staying with 9.1. Anyway, OSX 10.1 does not even remotely approach the response times of OS9.1 However, I will keep OSX 10.1 installed. Maybe someone will develop a patch for the video card. Also, with OS9.1 my Burner, scanner and fax modem are operable full time-no need to boot back into 9.1 to use them. My present plan is to wait for about 2 years until OSX is fully up with all applications and hardware that is now working in OS9, including external SCSI, then I will buy a used native G3 Black & white! albert thanks anyway albert -- Unsupported OS X is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Unsupported OS X list info <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
