Hi again,
        Andrew, your machine is no more basic than many others on this
list, that's why we're all here.
        As my machine is basically the same, except it's a 200MHz with
320MB RAM & 18GB HD, I doubt XPostFacto is the issue. Try updating to Mac
OS 9.1 before heading into XPostFacto - I found it more stable & faster,
despite assurances from many that 9.0.4 was better. Someone may be able to
correct me here, but I believe if you want to run classic, then 9.1 is the
minimum required Classic os needed for that.
        Also, try removing the USB card for a start & possibly the 10/100
as well., just in case.
