Hi all, Thank you to Terry Allen, Mark Benson, Steve Kidd and of course Ryan Rempel.
My issue was XPF2.2b7 crashing. The cure was to upgrade to OS 9.1 on the primary disk after reformatting to remove a serious disk header error. Installed OSX 10.0.3 on a second 2GB drive, upgraded to OSX 10.1.4 without a single issue. The Mac: 7300/180 OEM 112megs ram 8gig SCSI2 on PCI card with OS9.1 installed 2gig SCSI (OEM) on internal bus with OSX 10.1.4 installed USB PCI card installed 10/100 PCI card installed OEM CD-ROM OEM video (4megs) Two questions arise: First is no sound. What gives? Second is more complicated. With OS 9.1 I use Remote Access and Entourage (Say what you like ;) it suits me). I set Entourage to correct at set times get the email and automatically disconnect immediately. I tried OSX Mail but I cannot see how to do this. And Entourage cannot connect and disconnect from within Classic. Any (zero-cost) suggestions? Cheers Andrew -- Madness takes its toll.
