Thanks sorry I'm new to the Mac. Its got the basic motherboard with the onboard scsi I believe it's a quantum fireball HD. I'm going to put in a Seagate barracuda in. The video card is the one that came with it. I'm not sure what kind it is. I tried putting in several ATI cards and the machine would boot with no video? Does Mac take a different kind of PCI? These were all working PC ATI cards? I did read that there were kernel panic issues with installing on a system with an ATI card. The machine has a built in Ethernet adapter but I think it's a 10 base. Again thanks for the help.

Hooked to PCI SCSI card and or E100 SCSI/ fast Ethernet card which came with many high end S900 machines? Do you have XPostFacto software? If not go to http://eshop.macsales.com/OSXCenter/XPostFacto/ Spend a lot of time looking around and read everything. If you don't I'm wondering where you got the info on making a custom OSX CD? Which you no longer need to do but at one time it made things easier. I've been running OSX on my UMAX machine for nearly two years so it can be done!
