Don't worry, X does the same thing for me now that I'm using 
L2CacheConfig. X doesn't know how to properly read the new L2 
extension. Using a Sys. 9 util. will tell you if the cache is still 
good but not if is being used by X. Newers beta extension for X works 
well, I had it installed for a while to check it out, and it has a X 
native config/info utility.
