I've been pretty happy with it. I had pretty good stability with OS
9, but for the most part I have a hard time crashing OS X on anything
I own. Actually, it has been a bit more flakey on my "supported"
PowerBook G3 (Firewire) than on my 8500.

Most people claim crashes are most often associated with touchy
upgrades (bad RAM, unstable CPU upgrades) and peripherals, such as
USB input devices and bad hard drives. I had 3 kernal panics in a row
on my 8500 trying to empty the trash. I suspect the 2.5" FW drive,
which has left a trail of disaster on every machine (with a PCI FW
card) it was attached to. Sure enough, I disconnected it and the
trash emptied just fine.

OS X is just way more picky about what level of quality stuff it will
tolerably run. Keep that in mind.
