It is only going to be an update and will likely be called 10.2.2
It will be available by the software update panel as usual.
EDO and FPM ram both work fine and can be mixed in the same machine 
just don't try and interleave them together like I did ;-) I didn't 
know because they weren't marked. In fact I had been running them like 
that in OS 9.x and OSX for a long while.
Suddenly after the 10.2.1 update I got corrupted disks and data. The 
fix after trying everything including a new hard drive was not 
interleaving EDO and FPM which I only know about after professional RAM 
testing. Will S
