So 9gb is larger then that so it won't work. Most ATA controls for the Mac see IDE drives as SCSI in OSX so avoid this problem but other then that it is a good controller. Have you installed the firmware upgrade for OSX for your card? This is also needed to use in OSX. Will S PS. carbon copy clone works for some old world machines and not others. I have heard that it works with the Umax S900/J700 machines. But haven't used it myself. If not already a member you should check out the Supermacs lowend group nice helpful group of people.
