Yes I did install the update. I can boot in to X on my 9 gig SCSI. I did a Carbon Copy and tried to boot to my ATA and I just get a blank screen. I even partitioned it to 7 gigs and I still cant get the damn thing working. I can only boot to OS9 even when I try to install X it will not boot to the CD it will only boot OS9...

So 9gb is larger then that so it won't work. Most ATA controls for the Mac see IDE drives as SCSI in OSX so avoid this problem but other then that it is a good controller. Have you installed the firmware upgrade for OSX for your card? This is also needed to use in OSX. Will S PS. carbon copy clone works for some old world machines and not others. I have heard that it works with the Umax S900/J700 machines. But haven't used it myself.
