Hey all,

Does anyone know of a way to get a DVD drive to work in Jaguar on a
9600?

I installed the Apple DVD Player from the Jaguar CD's using Pacifist,
but get an error saying no compatible drives were found.

From what I've been able to find using Google, I take it that it's not
really because of an incompatible drive, but because Apple DVD Player
checks the hardware it's running on, and doesn't allow you to play
DVD's if you have older hardware. Is this right?

I've read that it's possible to patch the Apple DVD Player so that it
runs on unsupported machines, but I can't find any 9600-specific
information on this.

Anyone out there have any experience with this?

Stace
