Tried that. All I was able to play was what I guess was the menu file,
which zoomed by insanely fast and quit, with no audio. All the rest of
the video files on the DVD said "access denied" or something like that
when I tried to open them.

Now for an update on my DVD adventure; I just discovered something
very interesting. I popped a DVD in just a little bit ago, to give that
VideoLAN thing another try, and before I could even start it, lo and
behold, the Apple DVD Player automatically opened, and started playing
the movie!

Afterwards, I still can't start the application by using it's icon,
but popping a DVD in seems to open it with no problems at all. Weird.

Not sure if this had anything to do with a little patch I tried to
apply to it earlier or not. (DVDPlayer_3.2_no_DVD_Cocoa.sit)

But anyway, all is apparently well now. :-)
