Quickdraw is a lot faster than Quartz, and there's probably a few minor
places in OS 9 that are a little faster... but the networking, virtual
memory, and overall responsiveness are so much better... I get *so*
tired of waiting for the menu bar to come back every time I launch
a program, or especially playing games with memory allocations. That's
something I hadn't had to do since the '70s.
