On the topic of Radeon 7000s... Does the Radeon 7000 support OpenGL in Mac OS X on "Old World" Machines? I've tried to use Quake 3 on a Beige G3 that has one & it won't work, saying that OpenGL can't be initialized.

I have had this exact problem. open /Users/yourusername/Library/Application Support/quake3/config.cfg and open it ith Textedit. chage r_minrefresh to 60 and r_maxrefresh to like 70 and it should fix it after you save start up.
