I don't know if you've got an answer for this yet, but I've got a Radeon
7000 on my PCI Mac now, and I've found that if you have any non-OpenGL-capable
monitors at all on your machine, you won't get OpenGL on any screens.

It's like the opposite of the PC, where no matter how many OpenGL-capable
cards you have, you only get acceleration on one of them.
