It never was *un*-safe for any system on this list...The only systems that had problems were certain G4 models, and then only when they had IP addresses in the 169.something subnet (which, unfortunately, is in the non-routed range often assigned by things like cable routers doing NAT.)


If you've already applied it the new 10.2.8 update is a 500K update, so they only added the new ethernet driver.
