need advice on drives

I need to add a hard drive for storage and backup but haven't a clue 
what would be the best for my setup. I have one PCI slot open (Tango 
FW/USB in one and Rage 128 in the other). My internal drive bays have 
the stock 1 Gig and a 10 Gig I put in. Would you recommend internal, 
external, FW, SCSI, ATA? I also would like to get a CD burner to use 
with iTunes. Any suggestions? Thanks, Gene
