I'm currently running OS X 10.2.8 but am having some problems that I think are due to corrupted system files. I don't think it is a hardware problem, and am down to trying to re-install OS X. My question is can I do an Archive and Install and boot on my PM9600 or will I have to install everything from scratch? Before I went through this major hassle (my OSX is heavily customized), I would go to http://www.charlessoft.com/ and use boot CD to make an OSX boot CD with disk warrior on it and then see if that can fix your problems. The 10.2.8 update messed up my 8600/G3 something fierce. This is how I managed to fix it.
