I just downloaded 3.0a7 and gave it a try. It won't boot my 10.3 Install CD, in fact I can't even get XPF 2.2.5 to boot my 10.2 install CD, even thought I'm already running 10.2.6?
Are you running XPF from 9.2.2, or X? Even though the latest alpha of XPF is supposed to work from X, when I tried with a6, it rebooted and gave me the circle/slash graphic. Running it from 9.2.2, however, got me into the XPF boot process.
