Are you running XPF from 9.2.2, or X? Even though the latest alpha of XPF is supposed to work from X, when I tried with a6, it rebooted and gave me the circle/slash graphic. Running it from 9.2.2, however, got me into the XPF boot process.
Actually I tried both. Both resulted in a boot into 9.2.2. I'm going to try a different target drive next time, before I re-partition/re-format my 36 gig drive. I've got 4 physical drives in this box.
