> 1) So, I think I need to install OSX on a machine in order to use iTunes. Is that true? Is it true for earlier versions? Of course, the Sound Bridge might not be able to see iTunes on Classic OS even if iTunes will run on Classic.
You can put iTunes on OS 9 with no problem. I'm not sure which version is the last one that you can download and work with 9, but I have an old copy that is sure to work with 9.1. > 2) Where do I get iTunes. What is itsstatus, and if it is payware now, is the older free version still available? see above > 2) Can iTunes be used on our unsupported machines? > Which versions? > Where can I find it/them. No additional software is needed. In fact, back in the day when i was running 9.1 i could convert CDs to MP3s and back all with iTunes and nothing else. I think you'll need the authoring support for iTunes as well. i have that too. > I think some of this stuff was discussed in detail > on PowerWatch when > iTunes was first released, but that was about 10,000 > messages ago, > and the search function shows most recent messages > first.... > > Thank you for humorous or helpful suggestions, > > Jeff Walther > > -- > Unsupported OS X is sponsored by > <http://lowendmac.com/> > > Support Low End Mac > <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> > > Unsupported OS X list info > <http://lowendmac.com/lists/unsupported.html> > --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" > Send list messages to: > <mailto:[email protected]> > To unsubscribe, email: > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > For digest mode, email: > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Subscription questions: > <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > Archive > <http://www.mail-archive.com/unsupportedosx%40mail.maclaunch.com/> > > iPod Accessories for Less > at 1-800-iPOD.COM > Fast Delivery, Low Price, Good Deal > www.1800ipod.com > __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
