I tried the fix from http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=25564 as was suggested in an earlier email... when the system rebooted it came up with an almost unreadable display... so I moved the file back where it was and a reboot fixed that (btw... I'm pretty new to OS X, but I have used *nix a bit and I'm very familiar with OS 9). I guess I will download the .9 update... which sucks because broadband isn't available where I'm currently staying and 130-something MB isn't a fun download on dial-up. Oh well. We shall see :)
