I completely agree. The word used did *not* offend me in any way. I don't understand how the word used like that was offensive. I also agree that we must be tolerant of others who don't have the same views we do. I swear some, but try to keep it down when I am at my parents' house, when my son is around and when I am near my grandparents because I know it will make them unhappy. However, when I am around friends (and I consider this list as such) I'm much more liberal and like to accept people as they are. Not as how I would want them to be.
