I'm diving into Load Balancing and am weighing Software vs. Hardware solutions. Has anyone dealt heavily in Load Balancing, if so, what do you use? We're just needing it for 3 web servers, currently.
on this i would say we need some more information. if you are just load balancing 3 web servers you could start with a software solution and then move to a hardware if you need to. I really like barracuda for hardware load balancers. for software there are numerous options...but if you could provide some additional information on the services that you have on your web servers that would be ideal. Some things that come to mind are dns and apache load balancing along with some other network items that you could do like managing your media in a geographical way.
