Another thing to take into consideration is that the 15" macbook pro line
is overdue an update. If you are considering getting one you might want to
wait for a few months to see the new options.

I have a 15" at work running multiple VMs, and whatnot and it runs like a
champ. That said, they are a bit pricey, especially now that nothing is
upgradable.

I will be getting one for myself when they update the new.
