Yes I was able to get it to start. I'm on a Linux machine so these should
apply similar to a Mac
I edited build.xml and moved the <property
file="${basedir}/build.properties" /> above the <import
file="${uportal.dir}/bootstrap/build_includes.xml"
/>
I then had to chmod +x (make executable) to the following files:
/ant.sh
/apache-ant-1.6.5/bin/ant
/apache-tomcat-5.5.23/bin/catalina.sh
/apache-tomcat-5.5.23/bin/digest.sh
/apache-tomcat-5.5.23/bin/setclasspath.sh
/apache-tomcat-5.5.23/bin/shutdown.sh
/apache-tomcat-5.5.23/bin/startup.sh
/apache-tomcat-5.5.23/bin/tool-wrapper.sh
Also make sure you set the JAVA_HOME variable, tomcat needs that. I'm not
sure how you do that on a Mac...
Then run ./ant.sh start
