+1 for this approach Drew. I have enjoyed the ability to use the files checked in to git to manage migrations between our envs and would not want to lose that either. Fortunately we have phenomenal people on this project that can determine a fantastic implementation of meeting the need to have robust online configuration AND file based configuration.
