If there's a problem with the engine or IDE or somesuch and there does exist a workaround, then I'm less frantic about the bug getting fixed because I know I can continue to work. I've got notes to myself about hacks that I've put together to get around certain issues, with notes about the bug number and a to-do item to remove the hack when and if the problem gets solved. There are higher priority items to work on that may have more serious repercussions if not fixed, and if I know of workarounds for other issues I'm happy with the team going after the big ones. Also, on a completely different level, the process of finding workarounds on this list is a bonding experience that builds the online community as we work together to hone our skills. I'm constantly amazed by the brilliant snippets of code that folks here come up with. -- -Mark Wieder mwie...@ahsoftware.net _______________________________________________ use-livecode mailing list use-livecode@lists.runrev.com Please visit this url to subscribe, unsubscribe and manage your subscription preferences: http://lists.runrev.com/mailman/listinfo/use-livecode
