I'd rather suffer internal grumblings from our team due to having to have an IDE submodule, than much larger shouts from our users when we make an error like we did in 8.1.6-rc-2. I have a thick skin, I can happily ignore such grumblings; less so very long, and very valid threads on the use-list :)
