I'm wondering if anyone has been experiencing this problem and knows how to solve it. I've got 2 customers, one is using Windows Vista Home Premium and the other is using Windows Vista Business. They both experience the same problem with JPEGCompress 2.9.
They can launch the program once, use it just fine, and then close it. When they attempt to launch the program again, they get a Windows error message saying that the program cannot be opened. One user supplied me with the following Windows Error Data: Problem signature: Problem Event Name: APPCRASH Application Name: JPEGCompress.exe Application Version: 2.9.0.0 Application Timestamp: 467ba830 Fault Module Name: ntdll.dll Fault Module Version: 6.0.6000.16386 Fault Module Timestamp: 4549bdc9 Exception Code: c0000005 Exception Offset: 00061c02 OS Version: 6.0.6000.2.0.0.256.6 Locale ID: 1032 Additional Information 1: 64d7 Additional Information 2: 081335f078811e1fd639bc6c63d83627 Additional Information 3: 3fdc Additional Information 4: 35fc8982503f4afb4ff8fb0737cc1a55 So far I've tested JPEGCompress 2.9 on Windows Vista Home Basic, Home Premium, Business and Ultimate. Premium, Business and Ultimate were all checked using VMWare. So far I am unable to identify any common ground between the two users other than they are using Windows Vista. Any ideas? I've had them try the program in Safe Mode, uninstalling and re-installing, they all have enough memory and disk space, latest updates. I'm running out of ideas.
