I come from the corporate world and the MTBF and cost of ownership of laptops was so high that we had to get a VP signoff for many years to approve purchase of laptops. Also have the theft issue but we actually had office desktops stolen during long weekends a few times. This is from one of the most secure telecommunications networks in the world!
