You mean when you click a disabled button, the mouseUp is eaten by that button? Hmm, if this is proven, you should enter it as a bug into Bugzilla. If mouseUp is not send to the button (as it should not for a disabled one), it should be sent to its parent (owner) -- a group or a card -- not vanishing.

Robert,

my problem is they don't pass mouseUp's either. I need them to.

If disabled i want the mouseUp to go to the item under the disabled button.

Hello,

Does anyone know what messages a disabled button does receive?

Macintosh PowerBook G-4 OSX 10.3.1, OS 9.2.2, 1.25 GHz, 512MB RAM, Rev 2.1.2

they should receive no message. they are disabled after all :) However, they will still respond to send or call.
