Yes. One card can have multiple shared groups on it. The way it works is that if you are on a card that has shared groups on it, and you create a new card, that new card gets linked to those shared groups as well. But all of the shared groups in a stack *can* be placed on any card by using the Object ->Place Group command. Just imagine that any shared group(s) can be placed on any card(s), even if they aren't in sequence. So that means that you can have a shared group on card 1 that is not on card 2, but *is* on card 3.
