Hello,
It is a Radeon. There have been other issues with Radeon's in the past,
expected them to be solved after so many years.
We have also changed our software and will continue to do so in order to
make the multithreading simpler and less demanding for OpenGL drivers.
OK. There was more though, like different aspect ratio for the backdrop
image in OGL and in raytraced view. Perhaps this is related to the Ati
card
too.
No, it is not related to the graphics accelerator. It seems that ray tracing
uses the correct aspect whereas realtime drawing confuses pixel and image
aspect setttings, as your bug report pointed out. The difference disappears
when we fix the realtime backdrop aspect bug.
Would aGeforce of the 7 series improve OGL in RS3D or will any other
Geforce with
sufficient memory do just as well?
If it is faster than your current ATI card, then it will.
Best regards,
Vesa
