I duplicated Matthias's Skeleton trick using the Move Tool and "Collision Deformation" with the second Icon "deform in function of Distance to a point" (see attached image) . This is a very quick and easy "kind-of-sort-of" magnetism except it seems not functioning quite right - not consistent and not very predictable . Too Bad . Also , I thought I'd try placing an object inside a mesh to move that mesh via Collision Deformation ! Well , the object inside the mesh got deformed pefectly but there didn't seem to be a way to use an object inside a mesh to push the mesh out the way magnetism might . So close but yet so far . studio www.niagara.com/~studio www.studiodynamics.net > > Should work evry time, maybe you've left a step? > > (Adjust mapping radius <-should overlap the geometry > > Press bind volume > > Move the skeleton) > > BTW: It's not working on analtics, grin ;-) > > Matthias > Yes , should work but doesn't ... due to a life-sucking > bug that only allows it to work in the "Top View" . > I'll send it in . > Anyway , cool tool ! > studio > > > > Poor mans workaround 1: > > > > Create a sds or nurbs sphere > > > > Create a 1 bone skeleton > > > > Adjust the mapping radius > > > > Press bind Volume > > > > Move the skeleton > > > > Delete the skeleton > > > > Delete the choreograph from the Object > > > > Matthias > > > > > > Something bizzarely wrong here : > > > > > > I tried it ... it worked once perfectly ...
