G'day Matthew -
Here is a link to the reference image I'm using:
wow ! Thats a great reference ! I can see no reason why you could not
model it from that..
I was hoping there would be some way I can adjust for the perspective as
I move away from the center (where ever that happens to be...) I think
the perspective is worse from side-to-side than top-to-bottom, but it's
hard to tell.
hmm.. its obvious there are slight imperfections. To get an exact
replica based on these is probably unrealistic - to make a recreation of
it based on the "best guess" principal is certainly achievable.
The images you have posted there are not all in alignment. (particulary
front and rear) I would be putting each on a layer in photoshop or your
fav 2d app - then using guides, align the top to bottoms etc. Stretch
each ortho view to match as required.
The side view (center) is the critical one and probably needs to be
addressed first. I would draw 2 circles on a new layer representing the
proper wheels, then using partial selection areas and feathering,
transform your side view to better match a true circle and stretch
accordingly. A bit of manual touch up may be required. Do this before
matching side / plan views of course, and reference these ancillary
views to the side view when done.
Should be a goer !
Looks like a fun project. keep the wip images coming !
Regards
Bernie
