I tried it with a 'real' scene. Without AO, a frame renders in 6
minutes, with AO in half an hour. It looks better but half an hour
would have been too long for this 1800-frame animation... with some
more tweaking it might come into reach.
I think I'll have a go at a GI animation with temporal filtering...
Lightning fast or not, I'll stop nagging about it - thanks Arjo, Timo,
