So, we can conclude that it isn't worthwhile to get a professional workstation card specifically for RS3d... It isn't on the certified software lists - correct me if I'm wrong - it's always 3dsmax, Maya, and the other big boys :(
On the plus side: we don't have to spend many $$$ on this.
thanks for the info,

Hi Mark :

As I said earlier , I do believe Gelato will benefit from
the higher-end Nvidia cards , as far as realtime previews
go (Quadro = higher quality realtime output) .

Anyway , it appears we have SP4 pending and then a V6
release . Who knows what the RS developers have been work-
ing on , as far as OpengL goes .

That being said , if you are in the market for an upgrade
right now , by all means google up a few reviews (there are
tons of them) about so called "gamers cards" and pick any of
the best-bang-for-buck finishers (circa 05-07) .

It will probably tie you over quite easily until we can
determine if Realsoft will actually attempt to incorporate
cutting edge realtime openGL hardware acceleration in any
of their imminent and/or future releases .

just my canadian (highly taxed) 2 euros worth .
