Yes, a point in abstract math has no orientation, but this is not pure
abstract math. Anyway, even if I select the first two points, I don't
find any angle information from 1 to 2. (or is it 0 to 1?) Do I need
to pull out my old calculator and figure out the angles myself?

I am finding that I have trouble predicting the surface without
snapping the circle to the end of the sweep path. (If I use a rail
construction, then the surface flattens when it turns.) I want it to
the pipe/tube surface to keep its shape when it bends and turns. And I
want to make multiple ones (like a set of conduits) that are
controlled by a single cross section circle, if possible. (Hence, why
I tried to use instances of the cross section circle. This works in
C4D, just thought it might work here too.)

Also, I find that the snapping instructions don't completely work if I
try to snap the curves while they are in the surface mesh constructor
level. I have to take them out of the mesh constructor, snap them, and
then remake the surface.
