Hi,
I read all these messages with a lot of interest.
As and older user of Lightwave I definitly hate the use of many module
programs it's awfull to go to one and come back to the other to see some
results ---> that's why I decided to work in the most part with softimage.
I used RS many years ago (realsoft 1.42
http://wireframex.free.fr/Oldies/Real3d.jpg) and I was happy with it.
RS need to go to the right direction now. Just have a look to Luxology
--> this company is not very old and just imagine the way they did with
their software ... Their forum is full active and the team provide many
news, tutorials and so on

Ew.... You really like that?
I wouldn´t.
I don´t want to have to switch to another application, just to test some
lighting oder material.
And as I see it, even Lightwaves customers are a bit pissed about LWs
two-module structure.
There you have a "modelling" and a "layout" application, this has been
established years and years ago, and seems to have proven impractical.
I really don´t know why one would want RS3D to go that way.
I´d much more like RS3D to have "modes", so that you could quickly switch to a
rendering mode, texturing mode, modelling mode, etc., witch respective specialized layout.
That would be cool.

Betreff: Bugs?
Bugs?
I am using SolidWorks2010 this crap is 10 000$ usd and 1 000$ a year for
the maintenance and support.
In my life I have never seen a software this full of bugs, and not just
affecting the software but freezing the entire OS.
There is a difference between a bug that just once in a while make a
function not work and a bug that makes the function absolutely not
working ever.
The software that don't have bugs are "Stand alone" and specialized
software. Simple and small code is manageable.
All in one are very buggy.
I wish RS be divided into different small stand alone applications :
Modeling, Texturing, Shading, Rigging, Animating, Rendering, Post effects.

Juah, you must ask for a refund or transfer your RS licence to someone
who would be happy with RS with it's pros and cons.
I understand that RS is not what you wanted and things will not change
much or enough.
Cinema 4D is calling you, why denying? They are about the same price.
To hell, what am I doing here? Cinema 4D looks really cool!
Ho, I've got my own 3D software and I use renderman now.
Sorry guys gotta go read the C4D website.
Later alligator
