Hi Jan, Thanks for the quick reply,
Yes that makes sense, I think we'll add a further task to our export service rather than leave it to clients to handle, Regards, Jon -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Jan Haderka Sent: 16 July 2009 14:42 To: Magnolia User-List Subject: Re: [magnolia-user] base64Binary encoded edit control value Hi Jon, Magnolia 4.0 uses JackRabbit 1.5.3 while Magnoia 4.1 uses JackRabbit 1.5.5 ... between those two JR versions there was bunch of issues related to the encoding solved ... you are probably affected by one of them. This should be transparent if you access node properties via Content interface, but you might run into problems if you work with the xml exports as it is in your case ... most likely you will have to adapt the receiving side to deal with such encoded xml or add another processing step that will parse the values and decode the content back when encountered. HTH, Jan Almost forgot ... the list of issues that are related: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-2007 https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-2017 https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/JCR-1976 On Thu, 2009-07-16 at 12:04 +0100, Jon Holmes wrote: > Hi there, > > > > We are upgrading from 4.01 to 4.1 and our regression testing has > thrown up the following problem > > > > We are using default edit controls, configured to have multiple rows > (i.e. html textarea).
