Hello, Community. I am true newbie here — just few hours killing to make this thing running, looking for any CMS possible. Magnolia looks promising and if everything OK, we are going to make modules. However, I need first help, because it looks not really documented properly.
Problem: — I am unable to activate anything and it just seems to be simply broken. Expected result: — Activate page successfully or get a sophisticated error message about lack of privileges etc. Error message: A java-script popup alert + huge traceback at server side as follows: "Can't activate: info.magnolia.cms.exchange.ExchangeException: 1 error detected: Not able to send the activation request [http://localhost:8080/magnoliaPublic/.magnolia/activation]: http://localhost:8080/magnoliaPublic/.magnolia/activation on magnoliaPublic8080" Yes, this URL is unreachable. Founding zero information how to do it properly (and why it does not fixed during installation time), I tried voodoo way. :-) What I tried: 1. Replace "localhost" with internal DNS name: "iris.lan" whenever I can find it in Configuration. Did not helped. 2. Add "/magnolia" after hostname:port in basic URL. Did not helped either. But URL is indeed not accessible. None of these URL's are accessible: * http://iris.lan:8080/magnoliaPublic/.magnolia/activation * http://iris.lan:8080/magnolia/magnoliaPublic/.magnolia/activation * http://iris.lan:8080/magnolia/magnoliaPublic/.magnolia/activation The only URL is accessible: http://iris.lan:8080/magnolia/.magnolia/activation and returns literally nothing. Is this one? But it does not works as well... System info: — Appserver: GlassFish v2.1 — JDK: 1.6 — Magnolia Community Edition 4.1 — Installed as: http://iris.lan:8080/magnolia/, i.e. admin stuff is perfectly accessible as http://iris.lan:8080/magnolia/.magnolia/pages/adminCentral.html Any help here, please?
